Hey there.

Welcome to readysetfreddy–an online resource for creators to find joy in creating again.

Nobody told this kid that one day…

All of the heart. All of the grit. And all of the talent…

Wouldn’t be enough.

But…let’s rewind a little bit.

I grew up with a natural wiring toward solving problems–which is probably why I picked up a wide range of hobbies and skills over the years (I loved a good challenge).

Throughout college, I fell in love with film, photography, and music.

I spent a lot of my time writing my own music, leading worship, and learning the ins and outs of a camera.

All of this paved way for me to become a multidisciplinary creative professional.

I’ve spent the last decade serving in creative roles in various industries–from creative direction, live production, video/photo, music/audio, and design.

I had all of the heart.

I had all of the grit.

I had all of the talent.

But it wasn’t enough.

Here’s what I mean.

I created work I was proud of, but I was still burned out.
I poured so much into my work, but I was still undervalued.
I could make beautiful things, but couldn’t get my finances in order.
I could sign on great clients, but couldn’t deliver on my promises.
I always felt tired and stuck.
I didn’t feel like I had a voice.
I wasn’t being a good husband, dad, and friend.
I had to make a change.

In 2024, I made changes.

Here’s what happened.

I took a leap of faith in March of 2024–leaving an agency and running my little side-hustle design business full-time.

Over time, I slowly got a handle on running a business (still learning). I was able to get back in touch with my first love–songwriting. I was able to create new rhythms for myself and recover/heal/repair from the burnout and hurt I was carrying. I was able to be more available for my family and friends.

I also realized there was a

gaping hole in the creative industry:

There was not enough care for creatives.

There was plenty of turnover, toxicity, burnout, and hurt.

Now, I’m on a mission to bring care to creatives

that are stuck, tired, and burned out. This is how:

Providing resources and connections to help them heal, recover, grow and move forward.

Join me on a journey of finding creative renewal.

Today, my professional life is focused on:

  1. Miner Creative, my brand and design studio.

  2. Songwriting/Music, writing my own songs, leading worship, and the occasional corporate gig

  3. This!

On the personal side:

I enjoy my life in the North Atlanta suburbs with my lovely wife, Johna, our two kids and sweet cavapoo, Winnie. I love coffee, music, and serving others.
